New proton conductive membranes of indazole- and condensed pyrazolebisphosphonic acid-Nafion membranes for PEMFC

In this work, new doped Nafion membranes for PEMFC are prepared by casting with 1 wt% loading of the indazole- and condensed pyrazolebisphosphonic acids (AzBPs). The were analysed ATR-FTIR spectroscopy their morphology was examined SEM. Membranes evaluated water uptake ion exchange capacity (IEC), hydration number estimated. proton conduction properties modified electrochemical impedance (EIS), at different temperatures (30, 40, 50 60 °C) relative humidity (RH) (40, 80%). conductivities all increase increasing temperature RH. Also, AzBPs exhibited higher than N-115, used as a reference tested same experimental conditions, values up to 1.5-fold. Results show that incorporation dopants on enhances throughout membranes. best conductivity observed AzBP1 dopant, value 94 mS cm- . These results indicate promising approach improved conductivity. • New produced doping azolebisphosphonic acid compounds. Water assessed showed conditions. Best achieved membrane compound.
